Choose the control that matches the protection you need
partypoker treats Account Closure, Time Out, and Self-Exclusion as different controls. Account Closure uses a selected period and later reopens. Time Out also ends automatically. Formal Self-Exclusion is the stronger, longer restriction.
None of these actions is a promise that every personal-data record is erased.
Close your partypoker account
Close the account through My Account
partypoker's current Gambling Controls page documents an ordinary Account Closure control in My Account.
Check the current account state
If doing so will not delay a needed gambling restriction, note the balance, pending withdrawal, open table or tournament entry, and one non-sensitive account identifier. The reviewed public controls do not publish one ordinary-closure outcome for every balance or open entry.
Open Account Closure
Sign in, open My Account, and choose the current Account Closure control. Choose the intended time period and whether to block the full account or only specific products. Read the on-screen scope before confirming it.
Keep the confirmation
Save the effective date and any non-sensitive confirmation or case reference. partypoker does not publish one general completion time for ordinary closure.
Account Closure is a timed, reversible control
The current control says the account reopens automatically when the selected closure period expires. It also offers an early product-unblock option, but the account cannot be reopened during the first 24 hours after closure.
Choose formal Self-Exclusion below when the goal is a stronger restriction rather than a timed, reversible closure.
Closure is not personal-data deletion
Do not assume closure permanently deletes hand histories, transaction records, tax records, identity records, or every other item associated with the account. Use partypoker's current privacy route for a separate privacy request and expect legal, security, fraud-prevention, and transaction-retention limits to apply.
Self-exclude from partypoker
Use Time Out or formal Self-Exclusion
partypoker's current Time Out and Self-Exclusion page distinguishes two protections:
- Time Out can be selected for 24 hours through six weeks. The account reopens automatically when the selected period ends.
- Self-Exclusion lasts at least six months. Current first-party pages differ on the longest available term, so check the options displayed in My Account rather than relying on an old list.
Use My Account → Gambling Controls and select the protection that matches the intended duration. Before confirming, read the current account scope and ask current support about any balance, pending withdrawal, open table, or tournament entry not explained on screen.
partypoker says promotional emails stop during the selected Self-Exclusion term. It does not establish that every necessary security, legal, or account message stops.
GAMSTOP is separate and UK-specific
The current controls direct UK residents to GAMSTOP for the separate multi-operator protection. Do not present GAMSTOP as a worldwide program or as ordinary partypoker account closure.
What self-exclusion actually does (and doesn't)
It is designed to block play for the period you choose. Whether it covers new sign-ups or can be changed early depends on the operator and jurisdiction; follow the platform-specific details above.
Do not assume self-exclusion deletes account data, stops every message, or covers other sites; exact scope varies. Consider account closure, mailbox controls, and a blocking tool as additional layers.
Stop partypoker emails
Stop promotional messages
Formal Self-Exclusion includes a published promotional-email restriction. If only marketing preferences need to change, use the current signed-in contact route and ask which marketing control applies to the exact account.
Do not send a password, one-time code, full payment details, or unrequested identity documents through an ordinary message. Necessary security, legal, and account messages may continue.
You can also use your mailbox's search, filter, and bulk-delete controls. Review the privacy terms and current price before granting any third-party cleanup tool access to your inbox.
