888's official closure instructions document two ordinary account-closure routes: select Close my account in the cashier, or use support chat while logged in. That article excludes New Jersey. Product availability, controls, and legal entity can differ by market.

Close your 888poker account

  1. If it is safe to do so, withdraw or confirm the available balance and ask support about pending withdrawals or active poker entries before ordinary closure. Do not make another entry to empty the account.
  2. Save the records you may need later. If protection is urgent, do not delay self-exclusion; ask support how remaining funds will be returned.
  3. Open the cashier, choose Close my account, and submit the request.
  4. If that control is unavailable, log in, select the user icon, open Help Center, and choose CHAT. The separate contact guide also documents the website and app message routes.
  5. Ask support to confirm that the intended Casino, Poker, and Sport access is closed, then save the confirmation or chat reference.

888 does not publish a guaranteed completion time or a universal rule for active poker entries after voluntary closure. Do not treat a personal-data request as a substitute for closure or self-exclusion.

Confirm the Product Scope

888's current UK User Agreement covers its Casino, Poker, and Sport sites under one account agreement. Its closure article does not say whether one closure request disables every 888 product. Ask logged-in chat to confirm the scope rather than assuming that closing 888poker also closes 888 Casino or 888sport.

Personal-Data Requests Are Separate

888's privacy policy describes qualified erasure rights and the current data-rights contacts. It also says legal, regulatory, self-exclusion, anti-money-laundering, fraud, or service-refusal reasons can require longer retention. Closing the account does not promise that every record will be erased.

Self-exclude from 888poker

For UK accounts, use 888's online safer-gambling or account-restriction control, or contact Member Support through live chat. The current UK responsible-gaming policy distinguishes these controls:

  • Take a Break: 1 day, 2 days, 7 days, 14 days, 1 month, or 6 weeks. It is specific to the requested brand and has no cooling-off period after it ends.
  • Operator self-exclusion: 6 months or longer. It may take up to 48 hours to process and cannot be ended during the selected term.
  • Related accounts: 888 says a new UK operator self-exclusion extends to related accounts it identifies across 888casino, 888poker, 888sport, 777.com, William Hill, and Mr Green.

After the selected operator-exclusion term expires, 888 requires a reactivation request through live chat and a one-day cooling-off period before access.

UK residents can also register with the reviewed GAMSTOP registration guide. GAMSTOP covers online gambling companies licensed in Great Britain. After registration is completed, GAMSTOP says the self-exclusion is generally activated within 24 hours, but activation by a specific time is not guaranteed. GAMSTOP does not automatically return withdrawable balances. It is separate from the 888 operator control.

Stop 888poker emails

For an ordinary marketing opt-out, use account preferences or the unsubscribe instruction in a marketing message. 888's privacy policy says this can take up to 28 days and that changing one brand does not change another group brand's preferences.

Following UK self-exclusion, 888 says it removes the person from its marketing database within two days after the exclusion takes effect. Device push notifications may continue until disabled in the device settings. 888 says responsible-gambling requests cannot be processed through SMS, WhatsApp, or social media.
