Record current funds and open items

A provisional account's real-money balance is put in reserve for up to six years and requires the specified documents and eligibility checks for payment. A definitive account balance can also be reserved for up to six years when Betclic cannot verify the payment-account details. Betclic says Feebet and Freerace Turf promotional balances are removed after permanent or temporary closure. Do not wager them first; decide with those consequences visible.

Save the effective date and a non-sensitive case reference. Betclic does not publish one closure-completion time. The terms allow a later new-account application through the full opening process, so ordinary closure should not be described as irreversible exclusion.

Personal-data rights are separate

The current Betclic France privacy policy publishes support@betclic.fr for privacy-rights requests and says a complete request receives a response within one month. It also says some account, regulatory, fraud-prevention, anti-money-laundering, and terrorism-financing records may be kept for six years after definitive account closure.

That is not a guarantee that every erasure request is granted or completed in 30 days. GDPR Article 17 makes erasure conditional and preserves exceptions, while Article 12 permits an extension where necessary. Ask which records can be erased and which must remain. Self-exclude from Betclic

Use Betclic's temporary operator self-exclusion

The current France terms place S'exclure under Mon Compte. Choose a term between 24 hours and 12 months and review the confirmation before submitting it. Once active:

  • the account cannot be accessed;
  • no bet, other gambling action, deposit, or withdrawal is accepted;
  • Betclic advertising stops;
  • existing bets remain and any winnings are credited to the account; and
  • Customer Service is the published route for withdrawing funds during the exclusion term.

Betclic says Customer Service cannot reopen the account before the selected term ends. If permanent closure is requested during temporary exclusion, a new account cannot be opened before that exclusion term expires.

Add France's broader national restriction when it fits

France's ANJ voluntary gambling-restriction service is separate from Betclic's operator control. ANJ says the confidential personal restriction blocks:

  • ANJ-licensed online sports betting, horse-racing betting, and poker;
  • casinos and gaming clubs; and
  • account-based FDJ and PMU play.

The national restriction lasts for at least three years. After that minimum period, the person may request that it be lifted; it does not end automatically. Use the ANJ route when that broader France-wide scope matches the goal, and add an independent gambling blocker for another layer.

What self-exclusion actually does (and doesn't)
