• Account and data: This is an account-based subscription. The Gamban privacy policy describes account, device, transaction, usage, technical, and profile data, including some gambling-related profile information.
• Important compatibility point: Gamban's agreement warns that using a VPN or proxy to circumvent the product can cause instability or temporarily allow access. Do not treat VPN use as a verified extra protection feature.

BetBlocker

• Price: BetBlocker presents the service as free and ad-free. It is an active Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation, registration SC049565, which can be checked in the Scottish Charity Register.
• Systems listed: Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, iOS, Fire OS, and AppGallery appear in the official download chooser. The current official site reviewed did not establish a Chrome or Firefox extension, so this page does not list one.
• Protection period: An activated Gambling Self-Restriction cannot be lifted before its selected period ends, according to BetBlocker's current FAQ. That is a BetBlocker product setting—not enrollment in a government or operator self-exclusion list.
• Registration and data: BetBlocker says no registration is required. Its privacy policy still describes website technical data, app block type and duration, geography/language aggregates, and information voluntarily shared with support.

GamBlock's product overview says its products use heuristics to identify gambling sites and apps, including newly published sites. The reviewed official pages do not publish a current exact count or an independent detection test. Its legal notice also disclaims guarantees about the accuracy, currency, completeness, and availability of website information.

What no blocker replaces

A device blocker is one layer. It does not establish that these separate actions are complete:

1. Closing or deactivating a gambling account. Use the platform directory for the operator's documented account options.
2. Formal self-exclusion. Use the platform's current safer-gambling controls and check the verified state directory where a regulator program is available. Coverage differs by product and venue.
