Ask for three separate outcomes in plain language:

  1. close the betting account permanently;
  2. apply a temporary or permanent self-exclusion only if you understand and choose that separate restriction; and
  3. stop SMS, email, and push marketing.

For a Kenya account, use the published support channels

The official betPawa Kenya Help page lists +254 111 121 300 and +254 711 082 233, plus its Contact Us, Messenger, and Telegram channels. It labels Contact Us support as available 24/7.

Keep a note of the date, the channel used, and any case number. If support agrees to a closure period, ask it to confirm the period in writing.

For a Ghana account, use the Ghana channels

The official betPawa Ghana Help page presents support as available 24/7 and links Messenger and Telegram. The Ghana Responsible Gambling page lists +233 30 700 0647 and gh@betpawa.com.

Use only the contact page for the matching country service. Do not send passwords, full payment details, or identity documents through an ordinary message; ask support for its secure verification route if checks are required.

Self-exclude from betPawa

For Kenya and Ghana, the official self-exclusion pages offer a temporary period of up to three months. Their guidance says login and betting remain blocked and the exclusion cannot be ended before the selected period expires.

Both country Responsible Gambling pages also document permanent self-exclusion and describe it as irreversible. Choose that option only if you understand the difference from a timed exclusion. The public pages reviewed here do not establish an in-account menu path, so use the matching direct self-exclusion or Help page.

Timed self-exclusion reopens after the selected period. A support-assisted closure for an agreed period requires contacting support after the period; the Kenya and Ghana Help pages say neither route can be reopened early.

The current Kenya privacy policy and Ghana privacy policy say to use the unsubscribe mechanism in a marketing message or contact data.protection@betpawa.com. Disable betPawa push notifications in the phone settings.

Marketing opt-out is separate from closure and self-exclusion, and necessary service or account notices may continue. Keep the request so you can follow up if promotional messages continue.
