Closure can be reopened
Sky Bet's current closure guide says an ordinarily closed account can be reopened through support. Use formal self-exclusion separately when the goal is a restriction that cannot be lifted early.
Scope of this guide
These steps are verified for Sky Bet accounts governed by its current UK and Isle of Man product information. Sky Bet publishes separate operator and licence details for other places and for Sky gaming products. Check the footer and terms shown on the account if it was opened elsewhere.

Review the balance and unsettled bets
Sky Bet's current terms say to withdraw the available balance before closure or contact Customer Service for help withdrawing it. Unsettled bets normally remain active. Ask support how to collect any winnings after settlement if account access is closed.
Use Close My Account
Sign in, open My Account, choose Safer Gambling, then Close My Account. Follow the on-screen prompts, enter the password, and confirm.
Add the protection you actually need
Ordinary closure is reopenable. If reopening would be unsafe, use the separate Self-Exclusion Tool before signing out. Record the selected products, duration, and confirmation shown on screen.
Do not describe this action as permanent data deletion. Sky can retain records for regulatory, security, self-exclusion, and legal purposes.

Self-exclude from Sky Bet
Sky Bet's current self-exclusion guide offers 6 months, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 years, or permanent. It can apply to selected Sky products or all Sky products. Permanent exclusion is available only with the all-product option.
The selected exclusion cannot be removed early. After a timed term expires, the account remains closed until the user contacts support, and Sky applies a 24-hour cooling-off period before reactivation.
Sky's matching FAQ says all-product exclusions may be matched to certain related UK brand accounts when personal details match. Ordinary closure and product-specific exclusions do not provide that coverage. Complete each related brand's own exclusion, or use the applicable national scheme, when broad protection is needed.
What self-exclusion actually does (and doesn't)
It is designed to block play for the period you choose. Whether it covers new sign-ups or can be changed early depends on the operator and jurisdiction; follow the platform-specific details above.
Do not assume self-exclusion deletes account data, stops every message, or covers other sites; exact scope varies. Consider account closure, mailbox controls, and a blocking tool as additional layers.
Stop Sky Bet emails
Sky Bet's marketing-preference guide documents these routes:
- in the app: My Account → My Details → Marketing Preferences → Edit;
- on desktop: My Account → Contact Preferences → Marketing Preferences → Edit; or
- use the unsubscribe link in a Sky Bet marketing email.
A full self-exclusion removes the account from Sky's direct-marketing lists within two days. Sky says third-party and social advertising may require separate controls, and preferences do not automatically carry to other related brand accounts.
You can also use your mailbox's search, filter, and bulk-delete controls. Review the privacy terms and current price before granting any third-party cleanup tool access to your inbox.
Frequently asked questions
Does closing Sky Bet delete all personal data?
No. Sky's right-to-erasure guide says the right is not absolute. Its privacy statement describes retention for legal and regulatory purposes, including longer retention needed to enforce permanent self-exclusion.
Does ordinary closure cover other Flutter brands?
No. Sky says ordinary account closure and marketing preferences do not carry to other brand accounts. Some all-product self-exclusions may be matched when details match, but separate exclusions provide more certainty.
Where is current support?
Use Contact us in the current Sky Bet Help Centre. The reviewed official material publishes live-chat access and Customer Experience Centre hours of 7am–2am daily; it does not support the old phone number, email address, or 24-hour phone claim previously shown here.
