Ask for the exact restriction
CSGOEmpire uses different terms for permanent closure, self-exclusion and an account ban. They do not have identical effects. Independent support is available now.
Close your CSGOEmpire account
Make a written permanent-closure request
The responsible-gambling policy provides for an irreversible permanent closure after a written request through official support and confirmation. State that you want permanent account closure, not simply a temporary account lock or an indefinite ban.
Ask support to confirm the exact action applied and how eligible funds or unresolved transactions will be handled. Keep the reference privately. This guide does not promise a fixed completion time or the erasure of all personal data.
Check the withdrawal distinction before choosing an account lock
The current terms say legitimate funds may still be withdrawn from a closed account, subject to specified fraud and legal exceptions. That is not a guarantee about any disputed balance or the timing of a payment.
Separately, the account-ban help article describes an indefinite support ban that may be lifted after thirty days and warns that profile account locks block withdrawals. Do not assume that a button labelled “lock” is the same as the irreversible closure in the responsible-gambling policy.
If you need protection immediately, explain that to support together with the money question. Do not gamble more, deposit extra funds or test a restriction with a bet.
Self-exclude from CSGOEmpire
Use the documented timeout or exclusion settings
The responsible-gambling policy lists short timeouts of one, three, seven, fourteen or thirty days, and self-exclusion of six months, one, three or five years, or indefinitely. Check the selected option and save the confirmation. Marketing is stopped during self-exclusion under that policy.
Do not infer that another company's exclusion, a Steam setting or a national register automatically covers this account. A device blocker is a separate layer of access protection.
What self-exclusion actually does (and doesn't)
It is designed to block play for the period you choose. Whether it covers new sign-ups or can be changed early depends on the operator and jurisdiction; follow the platform-specific details above.
Do not assume self-exclusion deletes account data, stops every message, or covers other sites; exact scope varies. Consider account closure, mailbox controls, and a blocking tool as additional layers.
Frequently asked questions
Is a permanent closure a promise to delete every record?
No complete personal-data erasure outcome is established by the closure procedure. Ask about any separate privacy request and legally required retention. Never share a Steam password, wallet recovery phrase or payment credentials in a support message.
Is this a recommendation or licensing assurance?
No. This guide concerns leaving an existing account and does not establish lawful availability in your jurisdiction. Do not bypass a restriction to retrieve an account; contact official support. If someone offers paid fund recovery, check our recovery-scam guide.
