bet365 calls the signed-in control Account Closure, but the published flow is reversible. It is not a promise to permanently delete the account or erase all personal data.

Close your bet365 account

Open Account Closure

Sign in, select Account Menu in the top-right corner, choose Gaming Controls, then select Account Closure. These are the steps on bet365's current account-closure page.

Choose the closure period

Select one week, one month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, indefinitely, or enter a specific date. Choose the main reason shown in the flow, then continue to finalize the closure. Save the selected period and confirmation.

Understand how reopening works

A timed online closure automatically ends when its period expires. The official page also provides a signed-in reopening flow for an indefinite closure or a request to reopen before a timed period ends. If preventing later access matters, ordinary Account Closure is weaker than formal self-exclusion.

Withdraw a remaining balance without gambling

The official page says you can still sign in and withdraw a remaining balance after online closure. Do not place another wager or make another deposit to prepare the account. Save the withdrawal reference and ask support about any restriction that prevents withdrawal.

Use current support only if the control fails

bet365's current Contact Us page lists live chat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, a webform, and toll-free telephone support at 1-888-823-8365 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET, 7 days a week. The page does not publish a general support email address.

Ask support for the secure verification route if one is required. Do not send a password, security answer, full payment details, or unsolicited identity documents in an ordinary message.

bet365 self-exclusion status

New Jersey formal self-exclusion

The reviewed bet365 self-exclusion page directs customers to the New Jersey Self-Exclusion Program managed by the Division of Gaming Enforcement. During the selected period, bet365 says the account cannot be reopened and that it uses measures to detect and close new accounts opened by a self-excluded customer.

The official New Jersey DGE instructions say one request covers all New Jersey internet gaming and online sports wagering sites:

  • online enrollment offers a minimum term of one year or five years;
  • the selected minimum term cannot be ended early;
  • reaching the end of that term does not remove the person automatically;
  • lifetime enrollment requires an in-person or video-conference route.

The New Jersey-governed U.S. bet365 page reviewed for this guide does not establish a universal state self-exclusion process or one nationwide duration. Use the regulator program for the state attached to the account and confirm its scope, minimum term, removal rules, balance handling, and marketing effect before submitting. Stop bet365 emails

bet365's current email-help page says promotional emails include an unsubscribe link. Use that link and save the confirmation. Necessary security, legal, responsible-gaming, or account-service messages may continue.

The same page lists supportusa-eng@customerservices365.com as an address that may send messages. It does not present that address as a universal customer-support inbox. Use the current Contact Us page for support instead.

If promotional messages continue after an unsubscribe request, keep one example with its date and sender and send a follow-up through the official webform or live chat. Do not include gambling history or unnecessary account details.

Does Account Closure permanently delete a bet365 account?

No. Timed closures automatically reopen, and the published flow allows an indefinite closure to be reopened later. The control is an account-access closure, not guaranteed data erasure.

Can I request deletion of personal data?

The current New Jersey-governed U.S. privacy policy describes a qualified New Jersey privacy right and lists data.protection-usa@bet365.com for a verifiable request. It says a response is generally provided within 45 calendar days, subject to exceptions. That 45-day period concerns privacy-right responses, not sportsbook Account Closure.

The deletion right is not absolute. The policy permits retention for legal, regulatory, transaction, security, fraud-prevention, contractual, and other listed purposes.

Can a timed Account Closure be ended early?

The official page provides an online reopening path even before a selected period ends. If an early-reopening path is not appropriate for your situation, consider formal self-exclusion for the account's jurisdiction.

Is New Jersey self-exclusion automatically removed after one or five years?

No. The minimum term must expire first, and the DGE instructions say the person remains on the list until a separate removal request is completed. Lifetime enrollment uses an assisted route.
