Ontario account only
The current iGaming Ontario operator directory lists Betty Gaming CA Ltd. This guide does not apply its Ontario process to another Betty-branded site or jurisdiction.
Current self-exclusion pages disagree
Betty's responsible-gaming and FAQ pages list six months, nine months, one, two, four, or five years. Current terms list six months, one year, or five years. Use the exact signed-in choice, save the confirmation, and ask support to confirm the selected term.
Close your Betty Ontario account
Close the Ontario account in My Profile
The current Betty responsible-gaming page publishes Account → My Profile → Close Account and a support fallback. Section 23 of the current terms requires seven days' notice after the full balance has been withdrawn.
Record funds and unfinished items
If safe, note the available balance, pending withdrawal, open bet or game, bonus state, and a non-sensitive account reference. Do not gamble or deposit again to prepare closure.
Withdraw the full available balance
Use Betty's secure signed-in cashier. The terms require the balance to be withdrawn before the closure notice. Ask support about any item that the cashier will not resolve.
Choose Close Account
Open Account → My Profile → Close Account. If that control is not available, email support@betty.ca. Ask for the effective date and keep the non-sensitive confirmation.
Ask about open items
The reviewed sources do not publish one ordinary open-bet, unfinished-game, or bonus result. Ask support to record each outcome rather than placing another wager.
Standard closure is reversible through the current reopening help. Do not use it as a firm barrier if preventing access is the goal.
Self-exclude from Betty Ontario
Use Betty self-exclusion or Ontario BetGuard
Open Account → Responsible Gaming → Self Exclusion. The current sources disagree on the duration menu, so this guide does not publish one authoritative list. Use the choice displayed in the account and save the confirmation.
Betty says self-exclusion logs the customer out immediately, removes marketing, cancels future game transactions, and returns unused balance on request through the original deposit method when available. After the selected term, the account remains excluded until a written request is reviewed by the Safer Gambling team.
Ontario BetGuard is a separate province-wide program. Registering with Betty is not the same action as registering with BetGuard.
What self-exclusion actually does (and doesn't)
It is designed to block play for the period you choose. Whether it covers new sign-ups or can be changed early depends on the operator and jurisdiction; follow the platform-specific details above.
Do not assume self-exclusion deletes account data, stops every message, or covers other sites; exact scope varies. Consider account closure, mailbox controls, and a blocking tool as additional layers.
Stop Betty Ontario emails
Self-exclusion removes marketing under the current responsible-gaming page. For ordinary marketing choices, use a message's unsubscribe instruction or ask support@betty.ca to record an opt-out separately from account closure. The current privacy page describes separate privacy and retention duties.
You can also use your mailbox's search, filter, and bulk-delete controls. Review the privacy terms and current price before granting any third-party cleanup tool access to your inbox.
Frequently asked questions
Can a standard closed account be reopened?
Yes. Betty publishes a support-led reopening process. Use self-exclusion or BetGuard when a stronger restriction is needed.
Does self-exclusion end automatically?
No. Betty says a post-term written request and safer-gambling review are still required before access may return.
