How to Register with Spelpaus in Sweden
Use Sweden's official Spelpaus self-exclusion service, choose a period and check confirmation, scope and existing logins without confusing it with deletion.

Spelpaus is Sweden's official, free self-exclusion service for gambling that requires registration with Swedish-licensed operators. It is not a worldwide website block or a request to erase each operator account. If you need support before completing a form, use our international help directory.
Start on the official English-language service
Open Spelpaus's English enrollment page, not an operator advertisement or a paid intermediary. Review the scope, choose your exclusion period and read the confirmation before signing with the offered electronic identification. The service lists BankID, Freja eID+ and foreign e-identification options.
If you cannot use electronic identification, the official instructions link to a form route. Follow that form's current submission instructions. Do not send identity documents to Guarding Gamblers or ask someone else to use your electronic identity for you.
Choose the period deliberately
The current choices are ten days, one month, three months, six months, or until further notice. Fixed periods end automatically. Until-further-notice exclusion lasts at least twelve months and continues unless you later take the required action to end it. An active exclusion cannot be shortened or cancelled early. Before submitting, check that you have selected the intended option. Keep your confirmation privately and note whether there is a fixed end date. A calendar reminder to review ongoing protection can be useful; it is not a prompt to return to gambling.
Check the scope and sign out
Spelpaus covers registered gambling with Swedish licence holders, including online casino, betting, bingo and lotteries, plus the registered land-based forms listed in its instructions. You cannot select only one named operator through this nationwide service.
The official instructions also tell users to log out of gambling sites and apps so the restriction can take effect across existing sessions. Signing out is different from making a deposit or placing a test bet: there is no need to gamble to check a restriction.
Deal with accounts and money separately
Do not assume enrollment cancels every subscription, resolves an outstanding withdrawal, or deletes personal records. Ask the relevant operator how it will handle account administration without restoring gambling access. If an app or site falls outside the service's scope, an additional gambling blocker may help with device access. That is a separate layer, not an extension of Spelpaus's legal coverage. A trusted person can sit with you while you complete the steps without taking possession of your login or ID.
