How to Register with ROFUS for Gambling Self-Exclusion in Denmark

Find Denmark's official ROFUS registration, understand temporary and permanent exclusion, and separate account administration from gambling access.

Last updated on Oct 12, 2026

Start at the Danish Gambling Authority's ROFUS page and choose Log on to use the official registration service. ROFUS is Denmark's register of voluntarily self-excluded players. You enroll with the authority, not through this website. Independent urgent help is available if completing the account task is not your immediate priority.

Choose a restriction that matches your intention

The official service offers a 24-hour break, one, three or six months, or permanent exclusion. Read the selected option before confirming and keep the resulting status and dates privately.

The authority's responsible-gambling guidance explains that temporary exclusions expire automatically and cannot be undone early. Permanent exclusion does not expire automatically: removal cannot be completed earlier than one year plus a further confirmation period of at least seven days. Do not treat “permanent” as a short break or expect support to cancel an active temporary period.

Understand which gambling is covered

For a new registration, ROFUS covers the Danish licensed online gambling, land-based casino and retail betting sectors described by the authority. It is not an all-purpose internet filter, and its coverage should not be assumed to include every lottery or every foreign website. The guidance also distinguishes exclusion from a single operator's own restriction.

A useful private checklist is: “Which operators do I use? Are they covered by ROFUS? Do I also need an operator-specific restriction?” Use the platform directory to find a separate account task, checking that the guide concerns your country and product.

If registration is difficult, ask the official service

The ROFUS contact page provides a contact form and phone assistance. Use those current routes for registration questions or if you cannot complete the login process. A gambling operator cannot register you in ROFUS on your behalf, according to the authority's guidance. Someone you trust can help you read the form without using your identity or submitting it without your agreement.

Do not put a civil registration number or other identity details in a website search box, public comment or message to us. Follow the authority's own identification process and keep enrollment confirmation private.

Keep money questions and support on separate tracks

Ask an operator how it will handle eligible withdrawals or existing items without restoring access to play. Registration is not a promise of debt relief, refunds or deletion of all account records. You do not need to place another bet to “finish” an account.

The authority links to StopSpillet for help with gambling concerns. Technical enrollment support and personal support are different services; you can seek both. A device blocker can add an access barrier but does not replace registration or expand ROFUS's scope.
