How to Register with Cruks in the Netherlands
Register for a Dutch Cruks gambling stop using DigiD or the official English form, check confirmation and understand the minimum six-month period.

A Cruks gambling stop lasts at least six months and covers Dutch-licensed online gambling, gaming halls and casinos. Start through the Netherlands Gambling Authority's instructions, which link to the official register. For personal support now, use the international help directory.
Register online with DigiD
Follow the authority's link to Cruks, sign in using DigiD and review your identifying information carefully. Copy names and dates exactly as they appear on your identity document. The authority warns that mismatched information can prevent a valid registration.
Choose the intended period, complete the registration and save your digital confirmation privately. Do not assume that visiting the page or logging in has enrolled you. The authority says you can check your active status and end date through the register; checking that status does not require placing a test bet.
Use the official form if you cannot use DigiD
The English registration form provides the alternative route. Read all pages, choose a period, enter the requested information, sign it and follow its current submission instructions. It includes a route for people without a Dutch citizen service number. Paper or emailed registration is not immediate: wait for the authority's confirmation rather than assuming protection began when you sent it.
If you have more than one nationality, follow the form and register's instructions for recording those identity details. Do not send a completed form, DigiD credentials or identification to Guarding Gamblers. We cannot register you or check your personal status.
Know the minimum term and end date
The authority's current explanation says the first six months cannot be cancelled. A chosen term can be extended. It ends automatically at its recorded end date, without an automatic notification. Keep that date somewhere private if you want to review or extend protection before it lapses.
Choose the period deliberately rather than leaving the form's choice blank. If you are unsure whether registration succeeded, use the official register or its technical help route. Do not try another gambling account to test it.
Add protection outside Cruks's scope
