Close your PA iLottery account

Request account closure

The official closure instructions give the email route above. Ask for account closure and written confirmation, not a bonus or a temporary break. Save your request privately. Never send a password or full payment details; ask for a secure route if verification is required. Player Support's phone number is 1-833-530-7529.

Stop future subscription renewals

Use My Account → Subscriptions → Stop Subscription → Stop Purchases. Check that the subscription appears under Inactive Subscriptions. These are the official cancellation steps. Do not assume an email closure request has already stopped a renewal.

Check outstanding draws and eligible money

Inactive subscriptions stop renewing, but previously purchased plays, including future draws, are not refunded. That page requires being in Pennsylvania to inactivate a subscription online. If you cannot use the control, contact support. Ask how any later prize will reach you after closure; that exact process is not established in the sources reviewed here.

Confirm the closure and remaining arrangements

Ask support to confirm the account status, subscription status and any unresolved money or draw issue. Closing the account also removes access to Second-Chance entries, according to the closure help page. Ordinary reopening is not documented in the reviewed sources; do not treat closure as an irreversible exclusion.

The government-published terms, effective September 17, 2026 allow termination or suspension by phone or email within five calendar days of receipt. They retain some account information after termination: closure is not data erasure. Ask support separately about privacy requests.

Under those terms, an entitled remaining balance is paid by mailed check, less amounts owed, without a fixed arrival deadline. Deposits generally cannot be withdrawn or returned; cash prizes differ. Do not gamble remaining deposits to try to recover them. Ask support which amounts are eligible.

Account Closure Request - PA iLottery
Email body
Dear PA iLottery Support Team, I am writing to request closure of my account associated with this email address. Please also remove me from marketing and delete personal data that can be erased under the rules that apply to my account. If records must be retained, please explain what is retained and why. Please confirm which actions are available, when they are complete, whether formal self-exclusion is needed to prevent reactivation, and provide a reference number for my records. Please do not ask me to make another deposit or wager. If identity verification is required, send the official secure verification route rather than asking for sensitive documents in an ordinary support message or email. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Best regards, [Your Name]

If support does not reply

A cautious follow-up plan and copyable templates

These are suggested follow-up intervals, not a processing-time promise from the platform. Keep the original message and any confirmation number.

  • After 7 days without a reply, consider sending one follow-up.
  • If there is still no response after 14 days, use the platform's official complaint channel or a regulator only where it applies to your account.

Self-exclude from PA iLottery

Choose full-account Opt-Out when you need an account-wide block

Use Account → Responsible Gambling → Opt Out. The official Opt-Out instructions require you to complete identity verification, a waiver and a personal declaration yourself; support can explain the process but cannot submit it for you. The listed periods are six months, one year or five years.

The September 2026 terms distinguish Draw purchases, eInstant purchases, and full account access. A product-only restriction is not a full-account block. Check the scope before confirming. Full-account Opt-Out also prevents Second-Chance participation and ticket checking. During Opt-Out, request eligible money through Player Support; do not assume ordinary sign-in access.

Pennsylvania's iLottery self-exclusion rule makes the request effective after submission and verification and prevents early cancellation. Reinstatement after the term requires contact; it is not automatic. Do not delay protection while waiting to resolve money questions.

PA iLottery protection does not cover everything:

  • Its casino-exclusion explanation says the Lottery and Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board casino lists are separate. Do not assume one registration covers the other.
  • The retail-ticket explanation says Opt-Out does not stop purchases in stores. Full online-account protection also prevents using that account for Second-Chance entries.

A Cool-Off is temporary

The current terms allow 1–30 days, with account access restored automatically afterward. Support handles eligible-money requests during the break. This is different from Opt-Out's nonautomatic return. Follow the current confirmation screen; older help text may still describe a different minimum.

What self-exclusion actually does (and doesn't)

It is designed to block play for the period you choose. Whether it covers new sign-ups or can be changed early depends on the operator and jurisdiction; follow the platform-specific details above.

Do not assume self-exclusion deletes account data, stops every message, or covers other sites; exact scope varies. Consider account closure, mailbox controls, and a blocking tool as additional layers.

Change selected communication preferences

Under Account → Manage Communication Preferences, uncheck the unwanted notification categories and choose Update. The official preferences guide describes controls for certain promotions, login/payment notifications and service messages. It does not promise that every operational message will stop.

The Opt-Out help page warns that promotional messages may continue for a few days while lists are updated. Receiving an offer is not permission to play during Opt-Out. If you cannot sign in, ask support to address unwanted marketing without reopening access. No sender-domain filter is guessed here.

You can also use your mailbox's search, filter, and bulk-delete controls. Review the privacy terms and current price before granting any third-party cleanup tool access to your inbox.

Frequently asked questions

Questions before you close the account

Is this a permanent data-deletion process?

No. This guide documents closure, with retained account information as noted above. It does not establish a right to erase every record or a retention deadline.

Must I keep the account open until money is resolved?

You can ask support about eligible money during protection. Keep any confirmation and account records privately. Do not keep gambling or postpone protection just to finish a withdrawal.

Where can I get help that is independent of the Lottery?

Use our US support options, international support directory, or guide to finding gambling treatment in the US. You do not need an operator's permission to seek support.
