This guide covers the NYL+ account
New York Lottery+ is the Lottery's rewards and second-chance program, available through its website and official app. This is not a cash-wallet withdrawal guide or a way to cancel a separate subscription. If gambling feels difficult to control, independent support is available without completing this task.
Delete your New York Lottery+ account
Email the published account-deletion contact
The official NYL+ procedures, section H direct deletion requests to gam.sm.NYLRegistration@gaming.ny.gov. No completion deadline or mailbox hours are published.
Understand what deletion removes
The procedures say access and listed NYL+ identity, contact, point, entry and transaction information are permanently removed. Unused points, coupons and other account-distributed prizes cannot be recovered; pending promotion entries are cancelled. Points have no cash value. You do not need to enter another draw or buy another ticket to ask to stop.
Request deletion of the NYL+ account
Tell the published mailbox that you want your New York Lottery+ account deleted. Keep the request brief. Do not email a password, Social Security number, payment details or identity documents. If verification is needed, ask for the official secure process.
Keep confirmation and separate unresolved questions
Ask for written confirmation. If a ticket prize or separate subscription is involved, ask the Lottery Help Center about that product separately. This deletion procedure does not establish cancellation of subscriptions or the treatment of every retail ticket. Do not postpone needed protection while resolving those questions.

A cautious follow-up plan and copyable templates
These are suggested follow-up intervals, not a processing-time promise from the platform. Keep the original message and any confirmation number.
- After 7 days without a reply, consider sending one follow-up.
- If there is still no response after 14 days, use the platform's official complaint channel or a regulator only where it applies to your account.

Self-exclude from New York Lottery+
Consider the separate statewide self-exclusion process
Deleting NYL+ does not enroll you in self-exclusion or block retail purchases. The New York Gaming Commission's program covers gaming it regulates, explicitly including Lottery draw and instant games and Quick Draw. The available terms are one, three or five years, or lifetime.
Use the current form linked on that Commission page. It requires a recent photograph and submission at a licensed facility's designated intake area, at Commission headquarters, or by notarized U.S. mail. This is not an email-deletion request. Ask the Commission to confirm enrollment and scope; do not assume protection begins when you send the NYL+ email.
The Commission warns that gambling winnings during exclusion are forfeited and entering a licensed facility can lead to trespass consequences. Fixed terms end unless extended under its renewal process. Read the current form before choosing; no early-return route is promised here.
What self-exclusion actually does (and doesn't)
It is designed to block play for the period you choose. Whether it covers new sign-ups or can be changed early depends on the operator and jurisdiction; follow the platform-specific details above.
Do not assume self-exclusion deletes account data, stops every message, or covers other sites; exact scope varies. Consider account closure, mailbox controls, and a blocking tool as additional layers.
Stop New York Lottery+ emails
Treat marketing preferences as a separate task
The Lottery publishes an email-preferences page, but we could not verify the unsubscribe controls beyond its initial email field. Do not assume deleting NYL+ stops a separate newsletter. Ask the official Help Center to confirm how to stop unwanted promotions without reopening the account. Statewide self-exclusion separately requires operators to stop targeted gaming marketing, according to the Commission page above.
You can also use your mailbox's search, filter, and bulk-delete controls. Review the privacy terms and current price before granting any third-party cleanup tool access to your inbox.
Frequently asked questions
Does this erase every record held by New York State?
No such promise is verified. Section H describes listed NYL+ account data; it does not settle retention of your deletion email, self-exclusion records or other Commission records. The dynamic Lottery privacy page could not be fully reviewed. Ask the Lottery about those records separately.
Is removing the app enough?
Removing an app is not the email deletion procedure documented here. If your aim is to remove the account, request and keep confirmation of that action.
Where can I get help without returning to the Lottery?
Our US support page, international directory and US treatment guide are independent of the Lottery. You do not need to finish deletion before getting support.
