How to Self-Exclude from Bet9ja in Nigeria

This guide covers the documented Bet9ja route. Read the scope below: an operator-only, game-category, and regulator-run exclusion can have different coverage. It does not claim account-data deletion or a balance outcome unless the cited source states one.

Resolve the available balance before submitting

Bet9ja's current self-exclusion page says withdrawals are unavailable after self-exclusion starts and directs customers to withdraw the available balance first. If a withdrawal is already pending or access is blocked, contact Bet9ja's responsible-gambling support before submitting. Do not place another bet to change the balance.

The reviewed source does not state what happens to an already-open bet during self-exclusion. Save its reference and ask support before confirming when possible.

Open the responsible-gambling settings

Sign in and go to My Account → Responsible Gambling → Self-Exclusion.

Choose 90 days or indefinite

Bet9ja publishes a 90-consecutive-day option and an indefinite option. Ninety days is the stated minimum temporary period.

Review the effects before submitting

Bet9ja says the control takes effect immediately and blocks login, deposits, bets, and withdrawals. Bonuses and free bets are cancelled, and promotional emails stop.

Save the selection and confirmation

Record the chosen period and confirmation. Bet9ja does not publish whether access automatically returns after 90 days or requires a request, so do not assume an expiry method.

Bet9ja says self-exclusion cannot be ended early and that an excluded customer must not open another account. Its responsible-gambling page also says it will try to identify replacement accounts and may ask an excluded person to leave a physical outlet. The guide does not turn that statement into a guarantee of nationwide retail matching.

Lagos SafePlay is an additional route

The Lagos regulator-backed SafePlay register lists Bet9ja and offers 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, or permanent multi-operator exclusion. SafePlay is a separate Lagos-specific action. Submitting Bet9ja's own 90-day or indefinite control does not by itself establish SafePlay registration, and this guide does not present SafePlay as a nationwide Nigerian scheme.

They publish different email spellings: the responsible-gambling page says responsiblegaming@bet9ja.com, while the self-exclusion page says responsiblegambling@bet9ja.com.
