Cancel a Racing Post+ Subscription

Cancel Racing Post+ through the right biller. Check monthly and annual notice, app-store steps, refund limits and separate marketing choices.

Last updated on Nov 01, 2026

For Racing Post+ billed directly by Spotlight Sports Group, the official cancellation help gives +44 (0) 2036 348615, Monday–Friday 9am–8pm. If Apple, Google Play or another provider bills you, cancel through that provider instead. An installed Racing Post app does not establish who takes the payment.

This is existing-subscriber exit help, not a recommendation to use betting content. Public primary sources were checked November 1, 2026; no signed-in process, telephone cancellation or refund outcome was tested.

Check the biller and renewal date

Use your saved receipt to identify the provider, package and next payment. Racing Post's cancellation help separates direct Spotlight billing from app-provider purchases. Do not replace one route with another because you use the same app to read the content.

This guide covers Racing Post+ subscriptions. It does not provide a Raceform Interactive, shop-purchase or separate newspaper-app contract procedure.

Call for a directly billed cancellation

  1. Call +44 (0) 2036 348615, Monday–Friday 9am–8pm. Say you want to end the existing Racing Post+ subscription, not downgrade to another paid package.
  2. Ask for the applicable notice, final charge, effective cancellation date and any refund calculation. Ask the team to explain any disputed charge against your agreement.
  3. Request written confirmation and a non-sensitive reference. Keep it privately and check the next bill; an unanswered call or request is not proof that renewal has stopped.

The published subscription conditions require at least seven days before monthly renewal or 30 days before annual renewal. They warn that late monthly notice can mean another payment period, and restrict annual cancellation in the first month, subject to statutory rights. These are the publisher's stated terms, not a determination of your legal rights.

Current packages also show quarterly billing, but the notice article specifies only monthly and annual plans. No quarterly notice period was verified. Ask for the term that applies to your package; do not assume seven days applies to every subscription.

The user agreement lists a general email-notice address, while its cancellation section directs subscribers to telephone. Email-only cancellation was not verified. If you cannot use the phone, ask help@racingpost.com for an accessible cancellation route and confirmation of how notice will be recorded. A message asking for help is not confirmation of cancellation. Check your provider's call charges.

If Apple bills you

Use the Apple Account on the receipt. Apple's current cancellation instructions describe this iPhone route:

  1. Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select the relevant subscription and choose Cancel Subscription; scroll down if necessary.
  3. Check the resulting status. Apple says an absent cancel button or a red expiry message means it is already cancelled. Keep the confirmation privately.

If the item is missing, check the account named on the receipt rather than buying again. Apple's help also provides a web route. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, full payment details or identity documents to Guarding Gamblers.

If Google Play bills you

Use the Google Account that purchased it. Follow Google's subscription cancellation help:

  1. Open your Google Play subscriptions on the Android device.
  2. Select the subscription, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the prompts.
  3. Check the displayed end or renewal status and retain confirmation privately.

Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription. Google says access normally continues for the period already paid. If a payment-plan commitment applies, stopping renewal does not remove its remaining payments. For another app provider, use that provider's current cancellation terms.

Ask about refunds separately

For direct billing, the subscription conditions describe a proportionate refund for unused whole days. The user agreement allows an administrative charge and says amounts due are refunded within 30 days after cancellation takes effect. Ask for the amount and effective date; this guide does not guarantee eligibility, a full refund or the bank-credit date.

Racing Post's cancellation help directs app-provider purchases to that provider's terms and says Spotlight does not refund those cancellations. Cancelling renewal is not itself a refund request. No universal cooling-off period is asserted here.

Keep marketing, privacy and gambling protection separate

The privacy notice, dated September 22, 2026, describes preference controls and email unsubscribe links. Review each sender separately. Unsubscribing from marketing is not confirmation that billing has ended.

The notice gives qualified privacy rights and retention exceptions; cancellation does not guarantee personal-data erasure. No ordinary Racing Post account-deletion or formal self-exclusion procedure was verified for this guide. It also does not close or exclude a separate bookmaker account.

Keep independent blockers in place. Use the platform directory for the separate wagering operator's account and protection guidance. You can use urgent support without finishing any subscription or privacy request first.
