Delete your Sleeper account

Review the wallet, entries, and shared leagues

Check wallet funds, pending withdrawals, paid entries, prizes, tax records, and any dispute. Sleeper's General Terms warn that permanent closure may end access to prepaid money, promotional funds, or prizes. Do not make another deposit or entry to empty the account.

Ask a league commissioner to remove you from leagues or teams when that is also needed. Account deletion alone does not alter those shared records.

Use the current in-app control

Open Profile → Settings → App & Support → Delete Account and complete the confirmation. Sleeper also identifies sleeper.com/deleteaccount in its current privacy notice.

Keep the confirmation and check the result

Sleeper says account deletion occurs within 30 business days. It and its vendors may still retain information for legal obligations, fraud or promotional-abuse prevention, duplicate-account prevention, and other lawful purposes. The action is therefore not a promise that every record disappears.

Keep the confirmation and use current in-app support for an unresolved balance, entry, or account status. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, full payment details, or identity documents through an address copied from an old guide.

If gambling losses have put housing, food, medication, utilities, or transportation at risk, use the financial first-steps guide.

Self-exclude from Sleeper

Sleeper's current Responsible Risk Management guide documents an in-app self-exclusion control. Open App & Support → Responsible Risk Management → Self Exclusion in the profile. The control blocks paid-entry contests and prediction-market activity until the selected period ends.

The same guide says self-exclusion does not:

  • block free-to-play fantasy games; or
  • by itself prohibit wallet withdrawals.

Sleeper's separate deposit and withdrawal rules still apply. Verification, location, suspicious-activity review, and promotional playthrough requirements can therefore affect an account's ability to withdraw even while the self-exclusion control itself leaves the wallet available.

The accessible current page did not publish a fixed duration list or early-reopening rule, so this guide does not invent one. Read the confirmation screen before choosing and save the result. Ask current in-app support which Player Picks, Team Picks, prediction-market, and jurisdiction-specific functions the selected restriction covers.

If sports or prediction entries are hard to stop, also use the sports-betting exit guide. A Sleeper operator restriction is not automatically a state self-exclusion programme.

What self-exclusion actually does (and doesn't)

It is designed to block play for the period you choose. Whether it covers new sign-ups or can be changed early depends on the operator and jurisdiction; follow the platform-specific details above.

Do not assume self-exclusion deletes account data, stops every message, or covers other sites; exact scope varies. Consider account closure, mailbox controls, and a blocking tool as additional layers.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Sleeper account deletion take?

Sleeper's current help page says deletion occurs within 30 business days. That is the operator's published period, not a guarantee that every retained record, shared league, prize, or dispute is removed on that date.

Does deleting Sleeper remove me from fantasy leagues?

No. Sleeper says leagues and teams can remain because they affect other members. Ask a commissioner to remove you separately.

Does Sleeper self-exclusion block wallet withdrawals?

The self-exclusion control itself does not prohibit them. The current responsible-risk guide says paid-entry and prediction-market activity is blocked while the wallet and free-to-play games remain accessible. Ordinary verification, location, suspicious-activity, and promotional requirements can still restrict a withdrawal.

How do I stop all Sleeper marketing?

The current material reviewed exposes email and notification preferences, but did not establish one account-wide route or outcome for every marketing channel. Use the controls shown in the current app or message and ask in-app support to confirm the scope.
