Casino Self-Exclusion

The PGCB list for Pennsylvania casinos and retail sports-wagering locations or areas where regulated gaming occurs.

What it covers

  • Pennsylvania casinos
  • Retail sports-wagering locations or areas covered by the current casino self-exclusion rules

Not covered or not established

  • Licensed Pennsylvania iGaming or mobile sports wagering
  • Video gaming terminals
  • Fantasy contests
  • Pennsylvania iLottery or horse racing

How to enroll

  1. Use the official online portal, or schedule an appointment with the PGCB office or a PGCB location in a licensed facility.
  2. Online enrollment uses official identity verification, live-photo capture, and government-issued identification.
  3. Registration or a request under review is not active enrollment; wait for PGCB confirmation.

Program contact: 717-346-8300 or problemgambling@pa.gov; portal support Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–3 p.m. Eastern

Available terms

  • One year
  • Five years
  • Lifetime

Ending or removing the exclusion

One- and five-year casino entries do not expire automatically under the current effective rule. After the minimum term, request removal and wait for PGCB acceptance. A lifetime participant may petition the Board after at least ten years under the current regulation; approval is discretionary and requires the specified assessment and treatment documentation.

Before you submit

  • The ordinary online removal flow rejects early and lifetime removal requests; the ten-year lifetime petition is a separate formal process.
  • Removal from the state list does not guarantee that an operator will reinstate an account or end a broader internal ban.

Ending or removing the exclusion

One- and five-year iGaming entries expire at the selected term. Current rules provide a discretionary exceptional early-removal petition for a compelling reason and a separate lifetime petition after at least ten years; neither route is guaranteed.

Before you submit

  • An operator may apply a broader ban to other products, venues, affiliates, or jurisdictions, but PGCB does not guarantee that extension.
  • State-list removal does not guarantee operator account reinstatement.

Email body
Dear [Operator name] Support Team, I am requesting formal self-exclusion from [Operator name] for [choose a duration from the current policy]. This is a self-exclusion request, not an ordinary account closure or temporary timeout. Please explain which products, brands, accounts, and jurisdictions the exclusion covers; when it becomes effective; how any remaining balance and pending wagers will be handled; and whether I must also enroll in a regulator or state program. Please remove me from direct gambling marketing where your current policy permits. If identity verification is required, send the official secure verification route. I will not send passwords, full payment details, or identity documents in an ordinary support message or email.
